Beyond textbook comfort
School syllabi build essential foundations, but olympiad questions often ask you to combine ideas in unfamiliar ways. The goal is not to rush into advanced material. The goal is to deepen the basics until they become flexible.
What to add
- Topic-wise problem sets with explanations.
- Short proof or derivation practice.
- Timed mixed practice after every few chapters.
- A correction notebook for missed ideas.
When to move ahead
Move to harder material when you can explain the standard method, solve routine questions quickly, and recognize the limits of each formula.
